Finally a domestic US pressing of the now classic debut EP by Richmond's one and only DIRECT CONTROL! Originally released in Europe on KANGAROO RECORDS in 2004, this first vinyl release from the band blazes through six tracks of killer early 80's influenced hardcore. Taking queues from the meaner side of that era (bands like THE FIX, CIA, POISON IDEA, etc), this EP captures the attitude and essence of those classic bands almost perfectly with a combination of biting, sarcastic, and spiteful lyrics overtop a non-stop barrage of fast hardcore insanity. DIRECT CONTROL could probably take a lot of the credit (or blame) for the recent resurgence of no-bs, no-frills fast 80s influenced hardcore and this EP clearly shows why. If for some reason you weren't able to get your hands on the original European pressing of this release, now you have no excuse. This record is essential.
